Made from Delaware River driftwood and vibrant acrylic, Ladies Who Ladder is a tribute to women who thrive in what are traditionally seen as male typical spaces and careers.

As a woman artist working in building and large scale public work, I often confront confused people who don’t expect me to be doing the hard and sometimes dangerous labor that’s required in my field. In one particular situation, while installing kinetic led lighting on a large marquee sign along the Atlantic City board walk, I encountered a man who owned the business next door. He had NEVER seen a woman doing work on a ladder! Over the course of many days, anytime I was up on the ladder, he would remark … “ I just never seen a lady on a ladder before.” He would then stare in awe. This led me to create Laddies Who Ladder … allowing me to honor all the ladies out there on the ladder … blasting it out and showing we can do ANYTHING!
